How can anyone charge only R610 to register a new company?
It doesn’t make sense, because off of that R610 comes R80 VAT, then the CIPC fees of R250, then the additional R60 CIPC fee to download all the registration documents for the client. That leaves us with R300.
Then we give away a book “16 Steps to Business” worth R460 plus the first 6 months’ bookkeeping worth at least R3 450.
So, either we’re insane or there’s a catch!
Well, actually, we’re not insane and there is no catch. It is simply “out of the box” marketing.
You see, one morning I woke up to the fact that by far the bulk of our business comes from servicing clients. The income from registering companies is trivial in comparison. So, why not practically give companies away? Then, every time we register a new company there’s a protential new client for our other services.
And the free bookkeeping? Well, if we do your books for 6 months, there’s a fair chance that you will get to like the standard of our service and will then engage us as your bookkeepers. And what does it cost us? Just a bit of time, that’s all.
And the R460 book? Well, I’ve already written it haven’t I? It costs me nothing to give a subscription away.
What’s the lesson here? Read my book “16 Steps to Marketing” and learn to spend your energy on creating an environment in which sales just happen!
