We use our two story office building in Midrand to accomodate Gallagher Combined School which opened in January 2016. Our CEO was made the Patron of the school in recognition of this and we are please to be able to add that we have made significant donations of furniture and stationery.
The school is a Non Profit Company and is registered as a Public Benefit Organisation at SARS.
The classes run from Grade 0 to Grade 11 and will include Matric in 2025.
Apart from the usual extra mural activities and sports, the school teaches the Japanese abacus which produces phenominal mental arithmetic capabilities. The children learn to use the abacus for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and whilst learning it, they also learn to picture and manipulate the abacus in their heads. Watch what some kids can do.
Japanese abacus is replaced by robotics for the more senior learners.
