Every company and CC is required to submit a return to CIPC (the old CIPRO) during the month following the anniversary of its registration. Because registration can have been on any date throughout the year there is no “Filing season” as there is with SARS, WCC and UIF, so this one often gets missed.

If you don’t submit on time then there are penalties and if you miss two years, your company or CC will commence the process of being de-registered by CIPC. Final de-registration follows.

It is sometimes possible to restore a registration but the process is cumbersome, long-winded and expensive.

We have been looking after this kind of thing since 1971, so with us you’ll be in safe hands.
